Guide / On the schematic

Digital logic

Gate logic and comparators in textbook notation, with HIGH / LOW results and truth tables.

Switch an equation to Digital

  1. Open an equation in the Eqs tab and switch it from Analog to Digital. Each mode keeps its own equation, so you can switch back.
  2. Write it in textbook notation: an overbar for NOT, · for AND, + for OR, ⊕ for XOR. Or type the words AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR.
  3. The output shows on the schematic as HIGH or LOW.

Inputs with real values

  1. Give an input its real value and the threshold above which it's HIGH: it reads HIGH or LOW from that.
  2. Compare real values directly, e.g. (V_in > V_ref) · EN.
  3. Under Output levels, set what HIGH and LOW mean as values for equations this one feeds (e.g. 3.3 V and 0 V).

See the truth table

  1. Click Truth table in the equation card: every input combination and its output, for up to 6 inputs.
